Why you need to remove eye make up before you sleep

I love eye make up. Eye liner, eye shadows, these are things I love to play with and I love wearing eyeliner and shadows. But I wasn't always very careful with removing eye make up, I just washed my face and dealt with it.

But roughly a year bck I joined a firm and started work, which meant fewer hours of sleep and longer hours of working with the laptop, exposing my eyes to the laptop screen for hours. Which lead to a problem called Dry eyes.

Dry eyes is something you may or may not be born with. I t can happen because of varius reasons and it is not to be taken lightly. One day a few months back, I had powder Liner on and just washed my face and went to bed. Some particles from the liner entered my eye. Now the thing about our eyes is, because it is so sensitive, even the smallest of particles can irritate the eye. So the particle caused some friction and a small partof my eye became rough on the surface and normally eyes heal this to the best of their capabilities but because my eyes were dry, my eye did not heal by itself.

After many visits to the opthalmalogist for months to follow, I now excercise proper caution. ALWAYS use a good make up remover to remove the eye makeup. Do NOT let the remover enter your eye okay, be careful, take a minute and do the needful. If there is irritation from any particles, please don't rub your eye. Use a lubricant as recommended by your eye doctor.

Play, but always be safe.

How to work a sheer top

Hey guys

So I bought an amazing new top from Vero Moda, it's a beautiful mint green with a ruffled collar, but it is so sheer! Summer is best with sheer tops, shorts and sandals. But how to style the sheertop so it doesn't look weird?

I have 2 answers for you.
1. Printed crop top/ tank
A Sheer top may not look great with a tank. If it doesn't, match it with a floral printed crop topin contrasting colours underneath it. A printed cute tank will also work.

2. A Printed colour blocked bralette
I found this beautiful bralette from Coucou, it's colour blocked, cute and has a band longer than a bra so it doesn't look weird. It works great under the top and feels great too!

So go on and keep your cool with the thinner than ever sheers and look like a stylist while being comfy!

Oiling your hair

Getting soft, manageable hair seems like a task. I know, I've been there. But let me tellyou something, it can get easier. Here are a few of my tips and tricks to get amazing naturally pretty and healthy hair!

You can never skip oiling. The scalp will emit it's own oils but they may not reach down the length of your hair. Hence, you need to get the oil there yourself. I recommend organic or natural oils, like a carrier Avocado oil and an essential Rosemary oil blend. Essential oils are concentrated hence cannot be used by themselves and must be mixed with an essential oil. Add 5-6 drops of essentialoil on dime-sized amount of carrier oil depending on the length of your hail. Start from the scalp, massage for a minute and then to the tips.
P.S. If you can work out of steam after this, the oil gets absorbed better, leading to better nourished hair.

Once in two weeks, try the ACV rinse- Add one tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar to One bowl of water and after shampoo, just dump it on your hair. (AVOID getting it in your eyes, it will sting). Let it sit for about 3 minutes, rinse it off. This will wash away the product build up and leave your hair clean. Works great against dandruff too!

So go on ladies, get the power of oiling and let your hair shine on!
