Sugar Matte As Hell in the shade Scarlet O'Hara

Imagine the perfect red lipstick. Matte, rich, kinda velvety finish but not glossy, glides like a dream. Consider your dream come true with this lipstick from Sugar.

I've always wanted to invest in a red lipstick but then, Somehow red looks too bright on me somehow, and I never found the right shade till this baby came into my life. So I was skeptical since I didn't know much about Sugar, but it was literally everywhere so I thought it was worth a shot.

The lipstick body is a crayon, it comes with a cute sharpner free. The loop is good, not cheap and it's quite handy and easy to carry. The lipstick is so smooth, I felt like I'm using a marker pen over a peice of paper, a bold stroke of red line exactly where I applied it. And not glossy at all, it almost immediately sets into a powder matte that is so rich, you wonder exactly how expensive the lipstick is,except it's not that expensive. The staying power is good and it is not very transferrable, just a bit.

Price- Rs. 799 per crayon

They have 3 other shades as well, a Plum, a Fuschia and a Coral.

Need I say it? I love this lipstick.

Colorbar Haul

Today I am writing about my favourite drugstore brand, Colorbar. I placed an order on their website and they have some really cool offers. I got a make up pouch free on the purchase amount being over 1499. Here's what I got:

1. So their latest launch is the Luminous Rouge Blush, meant to sculpt and glow. I bought the blush in the color Coral 002. Getting to the point, I am bored of pink blushes and I always wondered how coral blushes would look on me since coral lipsticks suit me well. The answer is they look great. So the blush is a 9.5 gms pan with 3 shades.

Swatches:

I tried the lightest shade as a highlighter but the blush is really pigmented and not creamy, so as a highlighter it does not work. I used the brighter shade on top of my cheekbones and the darkest as a contour. It gives my face a glow more than a flush and I actually like that.

Price- Rs. 1200. May seem pricey but the pan is bigger than their normal blush pan.

2. The next is the Take Me As I am in Peachy Pink.

I LOVE these lipsticks. I wear the Truesome Pink to office everyday and the peachy pink is for a more informal, party setting or when I feel like being even more colourful than usual. The lipstick's staying power is BOMB. I apply it once in the morning and its literally still there till the evening. That considering how I'm eating all the time at office, is saying something. The lipstick is well pigmented and super creamy, it does transfer but that can be lived with. It does not chap my lips. It starts off as a Rich Orange but eventually settles down to a rich pink. I wasn't happy about how these are crayons that have to be sharpened, not retractable, but honestly the product wastage is not much if you're careful and the power is so good that 2 swipes are enough to last you all day. It also comes with a super cute sharpner free.

Price- Rs. 900 per crayon

3. The next are the Chic Cheeks Countouring brush, the Keep Blushing Blush Brush, and the Ready to Wink eye brush kit consisting on a smudger brush, an angles brush and a blender brush.

Straight up, the smudger brush does its work, but I like to use it as a crease brush since its the right size. The angles brush is for the eyebrows. Though my intention is to use it for eye liner, the bristles are kinda thick, so maybe with practise it will be more useful. The blending brush, I use for highlighting my eyebrows and it does the trick with no fuss. I know these aren't their designated uses, but these can be used for these and they serve the purpose.

Price- The Contouring brush- Rs. 425
         The Blush brush- Rs. 475
The Ready to wink eye kit- Rs. 550

All in all, a pretty good haul I think.
